Leaving the ship you are going for a drive by coaches over the new panoramic road to the viewpoint where from the magnificent view of Dubrovnik and its Riviera can be enjoyed.
Depart after the panoramic stop for the picturesque seaside resort town of Cavtat, which was the Ancient Roman City of Epidaurus. Over the years Cavtat has been a favourite destination for sailors and yacht enthusiasts, in fact Edward the Eight and Wallace Simpson came here during their honeymoon. Here you will have opportunity for a nice and pleasant walk along the beautiful seafront promenade or take a coffee in one of many cafe clubs located along the coast.
Depart Cavtat by bus, and enjoy your time driving along the eastern coast of Dubrovnik Riviera.
Upon arrival on Pile Square i.e. western entrance to the Old Town you will have opportunity to enjoy in all the beauties of Dubrovnik. Along the way you will visit the Cathedral which is built over the remains one built in the 12th century, and destroyed in 1667 by a disastrous earthquake. Today its treasure contains one of the finest collections of gold and silver in Europe.
After the walking tour of Dubrovnik you will have a free time for exploring the city on your own, and then transfer by bus from Pile Square to the ship.
What to Bring:
-You should always take your SeaPass card (provided onboard the ship).
-Original photo identification is obligation when in Dubrovnik due to Port Security controlling.
-Camera and cash for shopping (most stores accept US dollars and credit cards)
-Sun protection, sunglasses, and bottled water as it can be quite warm/sunny in Dubrovnik during the summer months.
What to Wear:
-Strongly recommend wearing light clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
