Full Description:
The Baltic Sea spa-resort, Jurmala, is located on the Gulf of Riga. Jurmala is popular for its natural features such as the mild climate, golden sandy beaches, conifer forests stretching along the coastline, and the curative peat mud and spa mineral water widely used as balneological treatment for spa guests in the many health centers of the resort.

During this tour, you’ll see the charming wooden cottages, decorated with fascinating carvings dating back to the 1900s, harmonizing with the more recently built cottages and spa health centers. Take a stroll along the flat seacoast and see the central pedestrian Jomas Street, where you’ll find cafes and souvenir shops. If weather permits, you’ll enjoy free time to sunbathe or take a dip in the Baltic Sea.

What to Bring:
-You should always take your SeaPass card (provided onboard the ship) and photo identification when in port.
-Camera and cash for shopping.
-If weather permits, bring your beach gear with you such as a bathing suit and towel.

What to Wear:
-Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Important Notes:
-Guests must be able to walk approximately 1 mile over beach and street.
-Photos and videos are permitted in all sites without any extra charge.
-The local currency is Latvian Lat (LVL). The main shops accept only local currency or credit cards. The souvenir stands or shops accept also Euros.
