This tour will be operated in English only. This leisurely tour offers a selection of the major highlights of Riga, from the comfort of your own coach seat – Art Nouveau district of Riga (19-20. cent.), boulevards, Freedom monument (1935), Powder Tower (14th cent.), Riga Castle (14th cent.), St. Peter's Church (13th cent.), Black Head House (14th cent.). Not less interesting is the wooden architecture of the "Over-river" District of Riga. The tour finishes with a panoramic photo stop of Old Town. Note: Guests must be able to walk approx. 100 yards over even surfaces & 2 to 3 steps to enter/exit the coach. You will only stop for photos. No interior visits will be made during this excursion.

This leisurely tour offers a selection of the major highlights of Riga from the comfort of your own coach seat. You will view the Art-Nouveau architecture, journey through Riga's boulevards and view some of the other major attractions of the city.
The Freedom Monument was erected in 1935 and became the hub of the Latvian independence movement in the late 1980s. Here you will have an ideal photo opportunity. Our journey will pass by the Powder Tower. This 14th century tower is the only surviving defense tower of the city walls. A chance for another photo- stop at the 14th Century Riga Castle, built for the German Knights, destroyed and then rebuilt again several times.
The next photo opportunity will be on City Council Square with some beautiful historical buildings - St. Peter's Church, a Catholic church until 1523. Its famed spire has been rebuilt three times in the same Baroque form after being destroyed many times, Black Heads' House with statue of patron of all merchants-Roland in front of it , newly rebuilt City Council building.
Your drive will then take you across the river to the part of Riga with most beautiful examples of wooden architecture. The tour will finish with photo stop of panoramic view of the Old Town before you will return to the port.
