Herdalseter Mountain Farm - GG40
Departing Geiranger, your coach will drive on the North side of the fjord up the Eagle Road to the famous viewpoint at the Eagle Bend where you can see the famous waterfalls "De Syv Søstre" (The Seven Sisters) and your cruise ship anchored down below. From the viewpoint you will drive past high snow-covered mountains and green valleys before reaching Ytterdal (Eidsdal) on the Storfjord. From Ytterdal, you will climb to one of the many summer mountain farms in the area - the "Herdalsetra." The traditional Herdalsseter is the largest mountain farm still in use in Norway. During the visit at Herdalsetra you will taste various samples of food made at the farm.
