Historical Walking Tour Fredriksted - CX50
Of all three historic towns in the Virgin Islands, the history of Frederiksted is arguably the most remarkable. You will enjoy a walking tour that shares the history of the town while showcasing the magnificent waterfront, historic Fort Frederik, Victorian townhouses and historic churches.
Of all three historic towns in the Virgin Islands, the history of Frederiksted is arguably the most remarkable. You will enjoy a walking tour that shares the history of the town while showcasing the magnificent waterfront, historic Fort Frederik, Victorian townhouses and historic churches.
The tours begin on the waterfront adjacent to the pier and wind the way through the wide avenues of the town, from Strand Street to Customs House Street, continuing on to Prince Street where the Old Danish School and St. Patrick's Church stand, then to King Cross Street and ending at Strand Street Park. Inside visits will be made to Fort Frederik and to the Caribbean Museum. The guides will highlight the important architectural and design elements of the historic buildings which reflect the Danish Colonial and African influences of the builders,the history of the families who own and occupy the buildings and their historic uses. The tour ends outside the Mall in the front street.
