You will then pass the buildings that once housed the White Star and Cunard Line offices. All of the buildings, streets, and piers of Cobh Town have been architecturally preserved. The walking tour takes you around a carefully planned journey of Cobh. Sites, buildings, and streets that have direct connections with the Titanic and with many other elements of Irish social, military and maritime history are revealed. You will stop at the Cathedral, and although it is not directly connected with the "Titanic," it is built on high ground affording yet another good view of the anchorage. Your tour will conclude with a visit to a typical Irish pub, where you will enjoy an Irish coffee. Your return to the vessel will be via West View, which is a very steep street. There are 23 terraced houses on the street which are known as the "Pack of Cards" due to the way they lean towards each other.
Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2.5 miles over uneven and cobblestone surfaces with steep inclines and 15 - 25 steps.
