Leisurely Landscapes & Powerscourt Gardens - DB53
This tour will operate in English only. You will travel through Dublin outskirts to enjoy the rural countryside taking you south to the Powerscourt Estate. On arrival, you'll drive along the avenue of stately beech trees, planted more than 200 years ago, which lead from the estate entrance to the House, gardens and terraces. The gardens at Powerscourt are probably the finest in Ireland, both for their design and their dramatic setting at the foot of Great Sugar Loaf Mountain. The house and grounds were commissioned in the 1730s by Richard Wingfield, the 1st Viscount Powerscourt. Whilst at Powerscourt Estate, you will have time to browse in the excellent range of small quality gift shops.
At lovely Powerscourt Estate, the House provides a superb setting for the Gardens with their generous areas of green, which interact with the formal hedges, colorful flowerbeds, herbaceous borders and romantic stretches of water. You will travel through the outskirts of Dublin and enjoy the delightful rural countryside taking you south to the Powerscourt Estate, a haven of peace and quiet. Undulating countryside, backed by the picturesque Wicklow Hills; it is a complete contrast to the hustle and bustle and slowing moving traffic of the city.

Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.5 mile over even, gravel and cobblestone pathways, with some inclines, and 15 steps down to lower levels of the Powerscourt Gardens. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The return drive to the pier is approximately 45 minutes, dependent upon traffic conditions.
