Full Description:
Begin your tour of Wellington with a photo-stop at the New Zealand Parliament’s House of Representatives.

Enjoy the short drive to the suburb of Thorndon and visit the beautifully restored birthplace and childhood home of renowned author, Katherine Mansfield.  

Travel to the waterfront site of New Zealand’s National Museum. Known as “Te Papa”, the museum features a wide range of exhibitions covering the nation’s geological and natural history.  The museum is home to a collection of contemporary and colonial art as well as one of the finest Maori exhibitions in the country. 

Visit the Cathedral of St Paul. Originally built in 1866 in the Gothic-style, the stone material used was later replaced by native New Zealand timber. The result is a series of stunning wooden arches and beautiful pews, pulpit and choral areas. The historic commemorative brass plaques and stained glass windows are interesting and elegant.
