Embark on a two-mile scenic hike alongside a small group of 12 explorers and a local guide who leads you through the wilds of Chichagof Island, complete with panoramic views and potential wildlife sightings in the Spasski River Valley. A short van ride through the Tlingit community of Hoonah brings you to the trailhead in the middle of Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest on the planet. Head out on a 90-minute nature hike along trails lined with old-growth vegetation and towering evergreens, as you learn about Southeast Alaska’s coastal terrain, unique ecosystem and Native culture.
