Explore the medieval Old Town ramparts of Pag Island and tour its reputable Lace Museum before tasting award-winning Pag cheese in a local factory on a guided, small-group tour limited to only 25 guests. A scenic 75-minute drive through Croatian countryside brings you to Pag Island, where you’ll join a specialized guide for a stroll through Old Town. View remnants of the fortified walls and well-preserved medieval buildings before standing before the old Franciscan monastery. Admire the Romanesque stylings of the Church of St. Mary, a holy Madonna pilgrimage site, and see Duke’s Palace, a government residence during the Venetian era. Enter the Lace Museum to learn how skilled local women have made famous Pag lace for generations not by templates, but only by word of mouth and first-hand instruction. In the nearby village of Kolan stop by a local cheese factory, where you’ll trace the long tradition of sheep breeding and production of Pag cheese, a hard sheep variety that’s considered one of the most famous artisan cheeses in all of Croatia. Sample three types of locally produced cheese, plus enjoy a glass of regional wine, before returning to your ship.

• Old Town: A guided walk around Pag reveals medieval fortified walls, a Franciscan monastery and sacred Church of St. Mary.
• Lace Museum: Over centuries, local women have passed down the skills of creating the intricate designs of famous Pag lace.
• Kolan: Savor a sampling of three locally produced cheeses, including the distinctly Croatian paska sir, in a local factory.
