This five-hour adventure packs in a bit of everything, as you tour a variety of local farms and tree plantations then discover warrior legends in Kampung Duyong, plus explore Malacca's historical landmarks in the city center. Head out of town into the rural Malaysian countryside for stops at two local plantations where they grow rubber and palm trees cottage plantations — the country is one of the world's largest exporter of palm oil and natural rubber. Among the buzzing environs of a bee farm you'll learn about the process of making honey while savoring a selection of fresh fruit and homemade cake. In the nearby village of Kampung Duyong you'll trace the story of Hang Tuah, a legendary warrior and martial arts master, back to the 15th century. See replica houses where Malay warriors once lived and peruse a museum housing exhibits on these mighty men. On the return route back to port you'll delight in a sightseeing drive through Malacca. A few photo stops let you capture the Dutch colonial architecture of Stadthuys, the Portuguese fortress complex of Porta De Santiago, the grand Melaka Sultanate Palace, and St. Paul's Church, the oldest church in Southeast Asia.
