This 3.5-hour adventure brings you to the picturesque western coast of Gotland to admire the Baltic Sea, view the Gannarve ship gravesite tradition, explore fishing villages, and hear harrowing tales atop Gallow Hill lookout. Your coach drive begins along the old medieval walls of Visby, a seaport town rife with Hanseatic history. Relish sweeping views of the deep blue Baltic Sea while traveling along coastline fringed with limestone-pebble beaches, and enter a medieval church set in the island's countryside.  A stop at the Gannarve gravesite offers deeper insight into the local Bronze Age custom of burying bodies beneath a cluster of standing stones positioned in the shape of a boat. You'll then soak up the Viking Age charm of Gnisvard, a tiny seaside settlement that once operated as one of Gotland's largest fishing villages. Your final stop lands you atop Gallow Hill where you'll hear the somber stories of 13th-century criminals who were executed by hanging at this site. It's one of Europe's only remaining medieval execution sites — and it also offers aerial views of Visby's red-roofed cityscape below.

Highlights:
• Gotland: Delight in a drive around Visby's old fortified walls and the island's western edges to a rural medieval church.
• Gannarve: Learn about how locals were buried in ship-shaped graves, and then take in the fishing village charm of Gnisvard.
• Gallow Hill: Admire Visby's picturesque skyline from a cliff edge where criminals were executed during medieval times.
