A
ABOARD
Onboard; the opposite of ashore. Used when referring to being or doing something on the ship.
ACCOMMODATION
A guest's stateroom or suite.
ADVENTURE OCEAN
Royal Caribbean's program for young guests age 6 months to 17 years.
AFT
The stern or rear of a ship.
AIR ARRANGEMENTS
Your air transportation to and from the port and ground transportation between the airport and the port.
ASHORE
On land.
B
BEAM
Breadth of a ship at its widest point.
BERTH
A place where a ship docks or anchors.
BEVERAGE WAIVER
Authorization by a parent or guardian for an 18-20 year-old guest to consume beer and wine.
BOW
The front or forward area of a ship.
C
CABIN
A guest's living quarters on a ship. Also known as a Stateroom.
CAPTAIN'S CLUB
Celebrity Cruise Line's loyalty program.
CATEGORY
The price level of a guest's room based on location, size, and amenities.
CONCIERGE CLUB
A complimentary service for certain guests that provides assistance with any special requests.
COURTESY HOLD
Allows you to hold your reservation for 24 hours. To keep the reservation, you will need to make a minimum payment.
CROWN & ANCHOR SOCIETY
Royal Caribbean's loyalty program.
CRUISE CARE
A program offering cash reimbursement if you cancel your cruise for a covered reason.
CRUISE CREDITS
Points earned for cruising with Royal Caribbean that determine your membership level in the Crown & Anchor Society.
CRUISE FARE
The price of a cruise excluding all extra fees such as taxes, port charges, airfare, gratuities, etc.
CRUISE HISTORY
An online record of a guest's past cruises and future reservations.
CRUISE TICKET CONTRACT (CTC)
The document containing the limits on the rights of passengers.
CRUISETOUR
A combination of an exciting cruise vacation and land tour.
CUSTOM AIR
A service provided for a nominal fee where guests may make special air requests including preferred airline, specific times and premium-class seats.

DEBARKATION
Exiting a ship.
DECK
The horizontal platform that extends from one side of a ship to the other.
DECK PLAN
An overhead map illustrating stateroom and public area locations.
DRAFT
The depth of a ship's keel below the waterline.

EMBARK
To board a ship.

FINAL PAYMENT
Payment of the full cruise fare plus any necessary or agreed-upon extras, such as taxes, or air add-on, prior to the issuance of related travel documents.
FIRST SEATING
The earlier of the two meal times in a ship's main dining room(s).
FISHER-PRICE PLAYGROUPS
Interactive play sessions for 6- to 36-month olds.
FORWARD
Toward the fore or bow (front) of a ship.

GANGWAY
An opening in the ship through which passengers may board.
GOLD ANCHOR SERVICE
Royal Caribbean's friendly and personable service that makes your cruise more memorable.
GRATUITY
A tip to onboard personnel as an indication of thanks for services rendered.
GUARANTEE STATEROOM
An assurance that you will be assigned the stateroom category you select.
GUARANTEED LANGUAGE
The language you select a Shore & Land Excursion to be conducted in.
GUARANTEES
The commitment that a stateroom in the same category as that purchased will be assigned. If one is not available, a stateroom in the next category of greater value will be assigned.

Located in the middle of a ship.

MUSTER/MUSTERING
The safety drill conducted at the beginning of every cruise.
MY CRUISES
An online account that allows guests to add enhancements, such as spa treatments, specialty dining reservations or Shore & Land Excursions, to their cruise.

A stateroom with window that affords an outside view.
ONBOARD
On a ship, as opposed to onshore.
ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT
The cashless system, accessed with a SeaPass card, used for all onboard purchases and services.
ONLINE CHECK-IN
Guests can save time at the pier by completing their pre-cruise documentation online.
OPEN SEATING
A dining area or time without specific seating arrangements.

PARTIAL CRUISE
Allows you to meet the cruise ship in a different location than the scheduled boarding port.
PASSAGE
Your travel onboard the cruise ship.
PORT
A place for loading and unloading ships, or, the left side of the ship when facing forward.
PORT OF CALL
A port at which the ship anchors and guests are allowed to disembark.
PRE-CRUISE ADDRESS
Your address immediately before your cruise. For instance, your pre-cruise address could be a hotel address.
PURSER
Staff member responsible for all onboard transactions, lost or found articles, mail, printing and for greeting and assisting guests with their individual needs.

A special array of services and amenities for your next reunion.

SEAPASS CARD

SECOND SEATING
The later of two meal times in a ship's dining facility.
SET SAIL PASS
Your confirmation for online check-in used for embarkation.
SHORE & LAND EXCURSIONS
Off-the-ship tours at ports of call (an extra charge is usually applied).
