Staterooms: 2,090. Length from bow to stern: 348 meters (1,141 feet). Crew members: 1,500. Quantum of the Seas boasts some impressive numbers. Take a quick tour of the smartship, which debuted in New York Harbor on Monday, and get all the ship’s digits here.

  • At 1,141 feet (348 meters) Quantum is equal to approximately 3.5 regulation-size soccer fields.
  • In terms of width, Quantum is equal to roughly the width of three regulation-size basketball courts.
  • 1,500 crew members, spread across 23 departments, staff Quantum.
  • Two70, the ship’s multi-level great room, has capacity for 540 guests. Its floor-to-ceiling panels are made of 520 square meters of glass, and that 270-degree ocean view morphs into another scene entirely thanks to 18 digital projectors.
  • Quantum was constructed in 74 separate blocks by Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
  • Laid end-to-end, approximately 191 miles of pipes wind their way through the ship.
  • Quantum of the Seas is more than three times the size of the International Space Station.
  • The ship boasts 16 guest decks and 2,090 staterooms—including 1,570 balcony rooms and 373 interior staterooms, all of which have high-tech virtual balconies. All in all, Quantum of the Seas can host 4,905 guests.
  • At 22 knots, Quantum of the Seas can beat Usain Bolt’s average speed by a bow.
  • 18 distinctive restaurants, including Jamie’s Italian, Michael’s Genuine Pub and Solarium Bistro, round out the Dynamic Dining options.
  • The Bionic Bar’s robot arms, named B1-O and N1-C, can turn out two drinks per minute. It took 41,600 human man-hours to make and test Makr Shakr’s robotic bartenders (you could build approximately 273 custom-made Lamborghinis in the same amount of time). See them in action here.
