Does Royal Caribbean issue W2G forms after guests win money at sea?
A
While the Casino is open in US Territorial or International waters, all US Citizens or Residents will be issued with a W2G form and required information will be reported to the US Internal Revenue Service for the following events:
- Individual poker machine jackpot of $1,199.99 or more
- Bingo session win totalling $1,199.99 or more
- Single table game payout carrying odds over 300 times the wagered amount
- Win a Lotto amount exceeding $599 but less than $5,000
The above scenarios are also in effect for Non-US Citizens or Residents while in US territorial waters, to whom a 1042 form will be issued.
Please be advised that Driving Licence or Passport as well as a Social Security Number will need to be presented at the time of payment.
