Shore Excursions Health Acknowledgement

Exposure to pathogens (such as the virus that causes COVID-19) is an inherent risk in places where people gather and may result in severe illness or death. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests are currently only permitted to book and participate in Shore Excursions which are selected and approved by Royal Caribbean Group (“Approved Shore Excursion”). By booking an Approved Shore Excursion, on behalf of yourself and/or others for whom you are acting (hereinafter, collectively “you” or “your”), you acknowledge and agree to participate in only Approved Shore Excursions during your cruise. You also agree to adhere to the safety and health restrictions provided by Royal Caribbean Group and/or the Approved Shore Excursion operator.

There is no guarantee, express or implied, by Royal Caribbean Group, that the safety and health restrictions provided by the Approved Shore Excursion will prevent exposure to any pathogens. Exposure may occur at any point during your Approved Shore Excursion, including transport to and from activity destinations. Royal Caribbean Group’s Approved Shore Excursion protocols are imposed to mitigate the risk of exposure but cannot eliminate it entirely. Approved Shore Excursion operators are independent contractors and are not acting as agents or representatives of Royal Caribbean Group or its respective affiliates or subsidiaries. We cannot ensure or guarantee that all such protocols have been implemented or are maintained at all times. We expect all Approved Shore Excursion operators to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. As such, recommended protocols may be subject to requirements by relevant governmental authorities and subject to change upon short notice which may affect the Approved Shore Excursion.

Although Royal Caribbean Group has approved these Shore Excursions we do not undertake to supervise or control the Approved Shore Excursion operators or their employees, nor do we maintain their conveyances or facilities, and make no representation, whether express or implied, regarding their suitability or safety. In no event shall Royal Caribbean Group or its respective affiliates or subsidiaries be liable for any loss, delay, disappointment, damage, injury, death or other harm whatsoever to you which occurs on these Approved Shore Excursions as a result of any acts, omissions or negligence of any of the Approved Shore Excursion operators.

Before booking or participating in an Approved Shore Excursion, all guests should consider their individual risk level resulting from pathogen exposure and make an informed travel decision on that basis. Guests with a higher risk of illness may wish to consult with their doctor prior to booking or participating in an Approved Shore Excursion with us. By booking an Approved Shore Excursion with us, you acknowledge and agree that you understand the risks related to exposure to pathogens and their resulting consequences and illnesses, including those relating to guests who are at a higher risk of illness as a result of the same. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) has stated that senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. Further, you agree to review and comply with our Guest Health, Safety and Conduct Policy, as well any of our health or safety instructions, or other posted signage. Failure to do so may lead to the termination of your participation in the Approved Shore Excursion and may result in you and/or members of your traveling party being denied boarding onto the vessel or subsequent removal from the vessel. If there is any conflict between this Agreement and the Booking Terms and Conditions and/or Guest Cruise/Cruisetour Ticket Contract as it relates to Shore Excursions the parties to the Booking Terms and Conditions and/or Guest Cruise/Cruisetour Ticket Contract acknowledge and agree that this Agreement shall supersede and govern.

If any provision or part-provision of this acknowledgement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this acknowledgment.
