What is a muster drill on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship?

A muster drill is a mandatory exercise held 30 to 60 minutes prior to departure, to familiarise all guests and crew with the “muster station” where they are to assemble in the unlikely event of an emergency. All guests must attend, even if you’ve sailed before. During this drill, additional safety information – like how to put on a lifejacket - is presented.
