Then, see old Tokyo at the Imperial Palace, an Edo Castle surrounded by moats and gardens perfect for strolling. Cruise to Tokyo and head to iconic Sensoji Buddhist Temple and pass below the massive red paper lantern of the Thunder Gate. Then, unwind in Yoyogi Park, a literal forest in the heart of the city, complete with Zen gardens and a gingko tree forest.

Day 9 Hong Kong, China Docked from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm

National LanguagesEnglish, Chinese
Currency AcceptedHong Kong Dollar
Begin your day in Hong Kong with a vigorous hike — or a cable car ride, if you're strapped for time — up to Victoria Peak for an iconic view of the city, the harbor and (if it's clear enough) the mountains of Kowloon.
Travel Tips
1
The Hong Kong dollar (HKD) is the official currency. Some larger stores will accept Chinese yuan (also called renminbi and RMB), but the exchange rate isn't great. Withdrawing cash from an ATM almost always means the best exchange rate.
2
Buy an Octopus Card at any subway station to get around Hong Kong easily. Cards purchased here have a $100 HKD (about $12 USD) credit and $50 deposit. The deposit covers negative balances up to -$35. You can also use the card at many restaurants, shops and even at ice cream carts.

After you arrive at Chan May, take the one-hour drive south to Danang. Hike up verdant Son Tra (Monkey) Mountain — the world's tallest statue of the Goddess of Mercy lies at the top — and check out pink-hued Danang Cathedral. Or head north to Hue, less than 90 minutes from port: Here, you can see seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda (Vietnam's tallest religious building) and walk among imperial battlements at the Citadel.
Travel Tips
1
Look for fair-trade shops, where sales help families in need and nonprofit charities.
2
When shopping, focus on handmade local items — most luxury brands you find from street vendors aren't the real deal.

After arriving at the Singapore Cruise Centre, hit the ground running and begin your activity of choice — hike Mount Faber Park, and take in the panoramic views of the city from the Terrace Garden. Stroll among 250 different types of ginger at the Botanic Gardens, then taste the flavor of the spicy plant in the form of fragrant chicken rice from one of the city's many street hawkers.
The cruise might have ended, but there are still some great activities to enjoy in the area. If you flew into this port, be mindful of your departure flight time and plan accordingly.

Although Singaporeans speak English natively, the accent (lovingly called "Singlish") can sometimes be tricky to grasp at first. If you don't understand what someone says to you, politely ask them to repeat.
