Q

Can I cruise with a driver’s license or medical card as my form of identification?

A

Everyone will need to present an accepted form of identification to board the ship. We strongly recommend that all guests present a passport as their form of ID on boarding day.

Technically, yes – Australian citizens can present a Driver’s License or a Medicare Card (if you are under the age of 18) to sail on domestic cruises departing from Australia. But a passport is the more efficient, secure option. Learn more about why passports are best.

Should you decide to present your Driver’s License or Medicare Card (if you are under the age of 18) on boarding day, please keep in mind that they must be valid for six months after the day your cruise ends.
