Hankering for insider knowledge on Quantum of the Seas®? It was the first cruise ship ever to be chosen as the recipient of the Maritime Safety Award granted by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). Built at Meyer Werft, Papenburg, Germany, the ship has a gross registered tonnage (GRT) of 168,666 and a cruising speed of 22 knots. It is 347+ metres long and 41+ metres wide, and includes 16 decks. Of the 2,094 staterooms, 1,571 have a balcony, 16 are family connected and 34 are wheelchair accessible. A staggering 1,500 international crew members work onboard for a maximum total of 4,905 guests. Quantum of the Seas features various first-at-sea activities, including Ripcord® by iFly®, North Star® and the Bionic Bar®.
