Vision of the Seas: Saturday, September 23, 2023 sailing from Baltimore
Along with our Chief Meteorologist, we’ve been closely monitoring a developing tropical storm bringing forecasted high winds and inclement weather in and around Baltimore, Maryland. Unfortunately, the weather will prevent us from safely conducting our upcoming cruise on Vision of the Seas, and we’ll have to cancel our September 23rd, 2023 sailing.
While these circumstances are beyond our control, we understand that this change impacts your vacation, and we’re truly sorry. Below are details on the compensation you’ll receive:
- Compensation includes 100% refund, including taxes and fees, pre-paid packages and gratuities, amenities, shore excursions and any flights purchased through Royal Caribbean, and pre-purchased Royal Caribbean Travel Protection.
- You’ll receive the refund to your payment on file within 14 business days. Please note, some banking institutions may take longer.
- If you used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original certificate.
- Additionally, you’ll receive a 50% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) to be used towards a future sailing, with a “book by” expiration date of December 31st, 2023 (12/31/23) for any available Royal Caribbean sailings. You’ll receive the FCC by September 29th, 2023.

Explorer of the Seas: Sunday, September 24, 2023 sailing from Ravenna
Along with our Chief Meteorologist, we're closely monitoring high winds in and around the Port of Ravenna, Italy, preventing us from debarking and embarking there. To ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, we’ll now need to conduct our check-in at the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri in Venice, Italy and depart from Trieste, Italy at 9:00 PM on Sunday September 24, 2023.
Check-In:
All guests must proceed directly to the Venezia Terminal Passeggeri (Marittima Cruise terminal, 30135 Venezia) to check-in for your cruise. Check-in will begin at 9:30 AM. Please follow your original check-in window and arrive no later than 4:30 PM, to ensure you’re checked in by 5:00 PM. After checking in, Royal Caribbean will transfer all guests to Trieste for boarding. Transfers will take approximately two hours to arrive in Trieste. The last transfer will depart at 5:15 PM.
