A close up view of the Atlantic Road in Norway
Voted Norway's greatest engineering feat of the 20th century, the Atlantic Road is a can't-miss marvel. Running from the island of Averoy to the Norwegian mainland, the 8.3-kilometer road is made up of eight bridges as well as causeways and viaducts touching many tiny islets in the Norwegian sea — but it's real attraction is the dramatic views of mountains, windswept sea and coastal landscapes.

The national tourist route Trollstigen, or Trolls' Path, takes you through steep mountain slopes and cascading waterfalls. Enjoy views nearby of mountains that carry lofty names like the King, the Queen and the Bishop.
One of the most extensive folk museums in Norway, the Romsdal Museum is the perfect place to dig a bit deeper into the history and culture of the Molde region. Cruise to Norway and explore the old-style homes recreated here on your own, or take a guided tour for more insight.
As a port city and an important trading center, Molde has plenty of options when it comes to grabbing a bite. Head to a portside restaurant and try locally caught langoustine or shellfish soup. Or try some local favorites at the seafood market.
A great place to start shopping is Moldetorget, the shopping mall in the center of town. Here, you'll find more than 30 shops featuring everything from local crafts to high-end fashion and home goods. Stroll the narrow streets of the town center to find handicrafts at the local boutiques during your Norway cruise.
