Vaccination Requirement
All Royal Caribbean guests aged 12 and older must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose administered at least 14 days before sailing.
Children aged 11 and under do not require a COVID-19 vaccination to cruise. However, kids aged 5 to 11 who have been vaccinated may present proof of full vaccination and follow the protocols for vaccinated guests. If you are cruising with an unvaccinated child, there are some specific health protocols that you will need to be aware of.
Each guest’s regimen must include at least two doses of vaccine unless the guest received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. This is according to US CDC guidance, and no exceptions will be made, even if the guest's resident country has authorised a single-dose regimen for a two-dose vaccine.
Royal Caribbean will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in lieu of a vaccination record card for guests of vaccine-eligible age.
For guests on cruises that visit Bermuda, note that the local government does not recognise Novovax or Covaxin as approved vaccines – guests whose vaccination series consists of either will not be permitted to go ashore. For additional details, visit our FAQ on Cruises to Bermuda.

Royal Caribbean is working closely with local government and health authorities to finalise the protocols and requirements designed for the health and safety of our guests sailing from European and Middle Eastern home ports. Booked guests will be provided with full details at least 30 days prior to their sailing.

Royal Caribbean Cruisetour guests participating in a Southbound Cruisetour from Seward, Alaska will need to take a COVID-19 test on your own, at your own expense, before the land-tour portion of your Cruisetour.
Cruisetour guests will also need to complete the pre-cruise testing to board the ship in addition to the pre-tour testing. Vaccinated guests are advised to bring an eMed test kit with them on their Cruisetour to meet the pre-cruise testing requirement. For vaccinated guests without a test kit or unvaccinated kids aged 11 and younger in need of a PCR test, a testing provider in Anchorage will be available to test guests at their own expense. Fully vaccinated guests and unvaccinated kids can visit ports of call freely or book a shore excursion through Royal Caribbean via Cruise Planner in advance. However, guests who wish to go ashore will be required to download, register and activate the MySejahtera App. Upon successful completion of the pre-departure form in the app, guests will receive a Blue Travellers Card to present for disembarkation in Malaysia. Please note: all guests must be fully vaccinated in order to debark in Malaysia. Guests who only have 2 doses of Sinovac or Sinopharm, as well as guests aged 60 and older who have not yet received their booster, are considered to be partially vaccinated by the Malaysian Government and will be required to have a booster jab in order to debark in Malaysia.
It is strongly recommended that guests be up to date and bring their vaccination record while ashore, as businesses in some countries may require proof of vaccination to enter.

Kids Aged 2-11: Additional Testing
In addition to the pre-cruise test, kids will take one or two more tests, depending on the length of the cruise. Royal Caribbean’s test provider will administer these, at no cost to our guests.
At the Terminal
For all cruises, kids will take a complimentary PCR test when checking in at the terminal. Registration details will be sent via email in advance.
Prior to Disembarking
For cruises that are five nights or longer, kids will take a complimentary antigen test onboard before the cruise ends. Vaccinated guests who require a COVID-19 test for re-entry into their country may receive one onboard as well. Guests will be notified onboard about how to register for this test.
Guests under 2 years of age will not be tested.
Sailings of longer than 10 nights may have additional onboard testing requirements.

Masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests and recommended for unvaccinated children while onboard. Some destinations we visit may require masks. Guests under two years old do not have to wear a mask. These protocols are subject to change.

In the Main Dining Room, vaccinated guests may dine with other vaccinated guests outside their travel party. Parties that include unvaccinated kids will be assigned a table of their own.
We recommend that you make dining reservations via Cruise Planner before your cruise or using the Royal Caribbean app onboard.
Tables and chairs in all dining areas are sanitised frequently.

Going Ashore in Ports of Call
Fully vaccinated guests and unvaccinated kids can visit ports of call freely. However, additional testing requirements may exist in some countries for guests who are unvaccinated; not considered up to date by EMA standards; or not vaccinated with an EMA-authorised vaccine. It is strongly recommended that guests be up to date and bring their vaccination record while ashore, as businesses in some countries may require proof of vaccination to enter.
For sailings visiting France, guests who are from an Orange List country will not be allowed to visit the port, according to French government regulations. Learn which countries are on the Orange List.

Here are the latest protocols for our guests sailing from Stockholm. Due to the fluidity of this situation, our protocols are subject to change and we are committed to keeping you informed if they do. Future protocols may require boosters, lowered vaccination ages and changes to testing. Whenever possible we will provide prior notice for any changes. Just the same, we'll let you know if any requirements are reduced or eliminated.
Guests travelling into Sweden from another country should be sure to look into any requirements your own home country may have for exiting or re-entering its borders.
Vaccination Requirement
All Royal Caribbean guests aged 18 and older must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose administered at least 14 days before sailing.
For the best European cruise experience, we strongly recommend that guests be 'up to date' on their COVID-19 vaccination according to the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
To be considered up to date by all European countries we sail to, your vaccination must meet both of the following requirements.
You received your final dose in your original vaccine series (or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson) no more than 9 months (270 days) ago, or a booster dose. Guests that have received a booster dose will qualify regardless of the amount of time that has passed since receiving their booster. Kids who have received one dose (unless Johnson & Johnson) do not count as fully vaccinated.

These standards apply to all guests aged 12 and up. Those who do not meet these standards will require additional testing onboard prior to going ashore in certain ports.
Guests must be prepared to present their vaccination record showing all doses, including their original vaccination series, as well as any booster doses they may have received, if applicable. Please make sure that your entire cruise trip is within the 9-month window to be considered up to date for all port stops. If your vaccination was more than 9 months ago, you can get a booster with an EMA-authorised vaccine as late as the day before your trip, and be considered up to date by all countries.
Children aged 17 and under do not require a COVID-19 vaccination to cruise. Kids aged 5 to 17 who have been vaccinated and are up to date may present proof of full vaccination and follow the protocols and testing requirements for up-to-date guests. For additional details, see the section below.
Royal Caribbean will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in lieu of a vaccination record card for guests of vaccine-eligible age.
All crew onboard the ship are fully vaccinated and receive a booster dose as they become eligible.
Testing Requirements
All Guests: Required Pre-Cruise Testing
All guests sailing from Sweden will need to take one test before boarding, as detailed below. Tests must be supervised with the result provided on a certificate which includes the guest’s name and date of birth. Telehealth tests are accepted, but must be completed with a supervised video visit. All tests are at the guests’ expense.

Not ‘Up to Date’ or Unvaccinated: Additional Testing Required
During the Cruise
In addition to the pre-cruise test, guests aged 12 and up who are considered not up to date with their vaccination, or are not vaccinated with an EMA-authorised vaccine, will require additional testing to be completed onboard, in order to go ashore in select countries. Prior to Disembarking
No testing is required for guests of any age and vaccination status if the cruise debarks in Sweden.

According to local authorities' requirements, face masks will be worn onboard by crew members and guests to help keep everyone safer. Face masks are required in indoor and outdoor spaces, with some exceptions. In restaurants, cafes, bars or lounges, seated guests may eat and drink without masks. Masks should not be worn in situations where they could get wet, such as at the pool. Masks should not be worn during strenuous exercise, but are required for light workouts. You do not need to wear a mask in your stateroom or on your balcony. Whenever you remove your mask, take care to maintain physical distance of at least 2 meters (6 feet) between your travel party and others.
