Whether you’re already booked on a cruise, or are thinking about it, we want you to Cruise with Confidence. That’s why Royal Caribbean will let you cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through April 30th, 2022. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now through November 30th, 2020, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your sail date, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit is valid to book and sail by December 31st, 2021 or 12 months after the date that you cancelled your original sailing — whichever is further.

As of May 6th, 2020 we have also added the new "Best Price Guarantee" and "Lift and Shift" options outlined below. If you opted into our Cruise with Confidence program before May 6th, please learn more about that program here.

You’ll receive the difference as a non-refundable onboard credit inside final payment or rate adjustment outside final payment.

NEW! Lift and Shift - Lift and Shift is for those guests simply wishing to move their existing booking to next year. For CWC guests that are ready to move to an alternative sail date in the following year, we’re happy to price protect the original pricing and/or promotion if the alternative sailing is the same itinerary, length, and stateroom category. However, the alternative sail date that the guest will be moved to, needs to be dated within 4 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date, but for the following year departing on or before April 30, 2022. For example, if you are moving from a July 30, 2020 sailing, you must move to a sailing that is the same itinerary, length, and stateroom category, and the sail date should be June 30th, 2021 – August 30th, 2021. To be eligible, guests must move their booking on or before November 30th, 2020.

Q : What is the Cruise with Confidence policy?
A :  As of May 6th, 2020, we have enhanced and expanded our Cruise with Confidence policy to give you even more peace of mind. The new Cruise with Confidence policy allows our guests that booked their cruise on or before November 30th, 2020, to cancel any cruise departing on-or-before April 30th, 2022, up to 48 hours before your sail date and receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit can be used toward any cruise that sets sail through December 31st, 2021, or 12 months past the date that you cancelled your original sailing — whichever is further.
 

Q : Do all sailings qualify for “Cruise with Confidence”?
A :  Cruise with Confidence covers cruises booked on or before November 30th, 2020, that set sail on or before April 30th, 2022.

 

Q : How long will I have to redeem my Future Cruise Credit?
A :  Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credits expire December 31st, 2021 or 12 months from the date that you cancelled your original sailing (whichever is further). You must redeem the FCC for a cruise that departs on or before the expiration date of the FCC.
 

Q : How do I cancel or move my cruise?
A : If you booked with a Travel Advisor, please contact them for assistance with your cancellation. If you booked directly with us, please give us a call or submit our online form here. Remember, you or your Travel Advisor must notify us of your cancellation at least 48 hours before the day you set sail. We appreciate your patience as call volume may be higher than normal.

 

Q : What happens if there’s a difference in cruise fare between the Future Cruise Credit I receive, and the cruise that I would like to book next?
A : If the cruise fare on your new booking exceeds the Future Cruise Credit’s value, you will have to pay the difference. Alternatively, if the new cruise fare is lower than the Future Cruise Credit’s value, a new Future Cruise Credit will be issued for the remaining balance.
 

Q : Are Future Cruise Credits interchangeable between Royal Caribbean’s family of brands?
A : No, you’ll have to apply your Future Cruise Credit to a future cruise onboard Royal Caribbean International.

 

Q : Do standard Final Payment timelines still apply during this timeframe?
A : Yes, full payment is still required at 75 days-to-sailing for departures 1-4 nights in length and 90 days-to-sailing for 5+ nights.
 

Q : How are Non-Refundable Deposit bookings impacted by this policy update?
A : Non-Refundable Deposits that were booked on or before November 30th, 2020 and are sailing on-or-before April 30th, 2022 are eligible for the Cruise with Confidence Policy and follow the same guidelines. Prior to the Final Payment deadline, guests with a Non-Refundable Deposit bookings that wish to change to a different ship or sail date can do so with no fee assessed prior to November 30th, 2020 - the change fee will be waived.

 

Q : I know which ship and sail date I want to re-book, instead of cancelling, can I just re-book now?
A :  For Cruise With Confidence guests that are ready to move to an alternative sail date in 2021, we’re happy to price protect their original pricing and/or promotion if the alternative sailing is the same itinerary, product, length, and stateroom category. However, the alternative sail date that the guest will be moved to, needs to be dated within 4 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date, but for the following year departing on or before April 30, 2022. For example, if you are moving from a July 30, 2020 sailing, you must move to a sailing that is the same itinerary, product, length, and stateroom category, and the sail date should be June 30, 2021 – August 30, 2021. Q :  If I move forward with the Best Price Guarantee, and I am issued onboard credit, when will I get it?
A :  The Best Price Guarantee program allows guests to take advantage of better rates up to 48 hours prior to sail date! Guests must be booked on or before November 30th, 2020 for sailings that depart on or before April 30th, 2022 and they can request the difference of their booked rates versus any rate reduction. The difference in pricing will be added to the booking as an onboard credit, inside final payment, and it’ll be applied within 14 business days, and a new confirmation will be generated with the Onboard Credit value.

 

Q : Upon cancellation, will I be credited for any pre-cruise purchases, such as beverage packages, shore excursions, etc.?
A : Yes, pre-cruise purchase will be refunded to the original form of payment – this includes moving your cruise with our Lift and Shift option under the Cruise with Confidence program.
 

Q : What precautions are you taking to prevent coronavirus while onboard?
A : From enhanced boarding screening to heightened sanitation at ships and terminals, we are undertaking every measure to safeguard guests and crew. Once we have our final protocols in place, we’ll be sure to share them with booked guests before they cruise.

 

Q : When it comes to the Cruise with Confidence notification window, what exactly is “up to 48 hours before”?
A : Due to immigration requirements, Royal Caribbean needs a full 48 hours to process your cancellation before your day of departure. Here are day-by-day scenarios below, to help you understand exact timing. It may seem technical, but we’re trying to give you as much time to make your decision as we can. Royal Caribbean International’s (RCI) “Cruise With Confidence” program allows individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before November 30th, 2020, for cruises sailing between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022, to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and have the option to either (i) receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to the full amount of the cruise fare the guest paid for their cruise, or (ii) move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing and receive our “best price guarantee” for the re-booked sailing, or (iii) opt in for our “best price guarantee” on their current sailing. “Eligible alternate sailing” means a booking in the same stateroom category sailing with RCI on the same product and cruise length scheduled within four weeks before or four weeks after the date of the original sailing but in the subsequent year. For those sailings, RCI will protect the guest’s original price and/or promotion so long as the guest moves the eligible booking to the alternative sailing on or before November 30th, 2020. If RCI’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare inside final payment, then the difference will be provided to guests in the form of a non-refundable onboard credit for use on the eligible alternative sailing. If RCI’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare outside final payment, the difference will be provided in a rate adjustment. “Vacation start date” means the date of the earlier of: (i) the scheduled embarkation of the cruise; or (ii) any pre-cruise hotel stay or Cruisetour package associated with the cruise and booked through RCI. If the guest chooses to move their booking to an eligible sailing in the subsequent year, any penalties previously assessed based on the prior sailing’s penalty schedule will follow the booking to the new sailing. The Future Cruise Credit portion of the “Cruise With Confidence” program will only apply to bookings for named guests for which cruise fares have been paid in full. If the guest opts to cancels his/her cruise, a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be issued for the cruise fare amounts paid to the cruise line. The FCC is non-transferrable and may not be redeemed for cash. The FCC’s value may be applied toward the cruise fare due on a new booking, on RCI for a sailing that is the later of on or before December 31, 2021, or 12 months after the date that the guest cancelled their original sailing . All bookings are subject to availability at the time of the request. If not used on or before the expiration date stated above, the FCC will automatically expire and have no cash value. Restrictions may apply on stateroom category and applicable pricing and promotions. Guest will remain responsible for paying the applicable deposit amounts, taxes/fees, port expenses and gratuities (if applicable) for the new booking. RCI’s “Cruise with Confidence” program does not apply to bookings made by residents of mainland China, and Hong Kong. Program does not apply to chartered sailings or contracted group bookings. RCI reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability. Offer can be withdrawn at any time without notice.
