The Wildlife Habitat is the number one attraction in Port Douglas proper. It's known for its immersive and interactive animal experiences. You can have lunch with the lorikeets, cuddle a koala for a souvenir photo, go on a kangaroo tour and see other reptiles and birds being fed throughout the day.
Mossman Gorge is located 20 minutes from Port Douglas. It's located in Daintree National Park, which is home to the world's oldest rainforest. You can go on either a self-guided rainforest walk or a guided Dreamtime walk at Mossman Gorge to learn more about the area's indigenous history.
