Packed with historical gems and natural beauty, Colon is a small Caribbean province in Panama that’s definitely worth your time to spend a few extra days exploring after your cruise. One of the best things do in Colon is visit the 17th century Fort San Lorenzo which was overtaken by Henry Morgan’s pirates. Continue your adventure with a trek through the tropical forests of Portobelo National Park where you’ll find beautiful coral reefs and countless wildlife. Or consider a day trip to visit the indigenous Emberá community.
