Q

How much are taxes, fees and port expenses on a cruise?

A

Taxes, fees and port expenses vary by sailing and are based on several different factors. Guests can always view the most up to date pricing including taxes, fees and port expenses on our website.

Cruising to Mexico:

The Government of Mexico now requires us to collect a Mexico Non-Resident tax for all voyages that call on a port in Mexico on or after July 1, 2025. Guests who book on or after June 1, 2025 will have this new tax included in the ‘taxes and fees’ portion of their fare. Guests booked before June 1, 2025 will see this new tax charged to their SeaPass account onboard.

Some guests may be exempt from the new tax based on their country of residence. In a few cases, certain local regulations may prohibit our ability to retroactively collect this new tax.

Cruising to Greece:

Beginning with sailings that depart on August 1, 2025, a seasonal cruise tax will be implemented across various ports in Greece, including iconic destinations like Mykonos and Santorini.

- Guests who booked before September 20, 2024 will see this new tax reflected on their SeaPass account onboard. It will be collected per guest, per port, at the beginning of the sailing. If a guest decides to stay onboard, we will automatically credit their SeaPass account towards the end of their cruise. In a few cases, certain local regulations may prohibit our ability to retroactively collect this new tax. List of exemptions: Residents of Brazil, Hong Kong, Israel, and Singapore plus guests who reside in California and Minnesota.

- Guests who booked on or after September 20, 2024 will have this new tax already included within the guest's taxes and fees on their booking invoice. It will be charged per guest, per each applicable port, per sailing. If a guest decides to stay onboard, we will automatically credit their SeaPass account towards the end of their cruise.
