What is the legal drinking age when cruising with Royal Caribbean?

A

Effective immediately on all cruises, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Royal Caribbean International ships applies as follows:
 

  • On cruises originating from North America or the Caribbean, the minimum age to consume alcohol on Royal Caribbean International ships is twenty-one (21).

  • On cruises originating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the minimum age to consume alcohol on Royal Caribbean International ships is twenty-one (21).

  • On cruises originating from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the minimum age to consume alcohol on Royal Caribbean International ships is eighteen (18).

  • At Royal Caribbean International private destinations, the minimum age to consume alcohol is:
    • Twenty-one (21) at Perfect Day CocoCay, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island and Labadee. .
    • Eighteen (18) at Royal Beach Club Santorini and Royal Beach Club Lelepa.

 

The company retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age of alcohol consumption on any sailings when local laws require or permit such a modification.
