What is Early Assign and how does it work?

Early Assign, also known as Early Room Assignment (ERA), is an optional paid program that allows eligible guests booked in select Guarantee (GTY) stateroom categories to receive their stateroom assignment earlier than the standard assignment process. 

Early Assign is currently available for eligible individual bookings in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Group bookings, bookings transferred to groups, Casino bookings, and Group Reservations are not eligible for Early Assign.* 

For eligible bookings, Early Assign is offered during a defined window before sailing based on the length of the cruise:
 

• 6 nights or longer: 45–85 days before sailing
• 5 nights or fewer: 25–70 days before sailing
   

If your booking is eligible, the booking owner will be notified when the Early Assign offer becomes available. The cost is $30 USD per stateroom, not per guest. Once the Early Assign fee is paid in full, your stateroom is assigned immediately. You can typically view your stateroom assignment shortly after payment is processed. 

Early Assign provides your stateroom assignment earlier, but does not guarantee a specific stateroom, deck, location, view, or other stateroom attributes. Your assignment remains within the Guarantee category booked. You may request to move to another available stateroom within the same category, subject to availability. The Early Assign fee remains non-refundable even if a different stateroom cannot be provided. 

Purchasing Early Assign does not change your standard booking terms, including your final payment date or cancellation policy. Travel agents may purchase Early Assign on behalf of eligible clients, and the program may be purchased for multiple eligible staterooms. The $30 USD fee applies to each stateroom. 

The Early Assign fee is non-refundable and non-commissionable once processed. If you cancel your cruise, the fee is forfeited and will not be refunded, regardless of when the cancellation occurs. The Early Assign fee also does not apply toward the cost of a stateroom upgrade. If you choose to upgrade, the full upgrade cost applies.
