Finding a cruise line that combines the joy of travel and doing good can be quite the project. But look no further — Royal Caribbean International’s philanthropy efforts are diverse and include a Royal Caribbean Make-A-Wish partnership. With resources such as a Royal Caribbean donation request form at the ready, Royal Caribbean cruises make it easy for conscious travelers to put their vacation dollars toward good. Beyond its cruise donation partnership with Make-A-Wish, Royal Caribbean supports a wide range of philanthropic initiatives across the globe. Read on for information on the company’s giving, the Royal Caribbean Make-A-Wish partnership and how to get involved.

Royal Caribbean’s Philanthropy Efforts

With a habit of giving back, Royal Caribbean encourages guests to do the same. The company’s philanthropic collaborations with nonprofits span environmental, humanitarian and other community-driven charitable causes

For example, earlier in 2025, Royal Caribbean forged a partnership with Waterkeepers Bahamas. Committed to restoring the island nation’s vital mangrove forests, the collaborative effort aims to repair the damage caused by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. The company also uses native Bahamian plants at its branded island locations, such as Royal Beach Club — Royal Caribbean worked with local environmental consultants during the development phase to ensure the safety of each native tree. Its green philanthropy also extends to the Galapagos Islands, Alaska and Miami, among other vibrant port locations.

These are just a few instances of Royal Caribbean's donation and fundraising efforts boosting the well-being of its destination ports. Meanwhile, the Royal Caribbean Make-A-Wish partnership boosts the well-being of United States destinations via citizen care.

Like the Make-A-Wish Royal Caribbean partnership, Royal Caribbean Group’s GIVE program supports this commitment to, appropriately, giving back. GIVE, which stands for Get Involved Volunteer Everywhere, encourages the company’s employees to help out in their communities. In the spirit of the initiative, members of the Royal Caribbean family have coordinated litter clean-ups on the beach, provided mentorship to students and built hygiene kits for their local communities.

Royal Caribbean’s Partnership With The Make-a-wish Foundation

Seeing as cruise line is eager to contribute to the global community, the Royal Caribbean Make-A-Wish partnership seems to fit right into the cruise line’s philanthropic offerings. The nonprofit organization grants wishes, specifically those of children and teens with life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish’s mission is to help not only the kids but also their families cope with the heaviness of such a diagnosis.

The nonprofit has granted all kinds of wishes, from sending children to theme parks to arranging meet-and-greets with their heroes. The Make-A-Wish Royal Caribbean partnership supports this life-affirming work. The collaboration has three specific goals: making wishes come true, reigniting hope and creating bolder family bonds.

The Royal Caribbean donation request form allows travelers to get involved, and every ship in the fleet is included. As contributed funds go directly to the charity, even a small Make-A-Wish donation has a big impact. And the company is fueling the wish-granting experiences as well.

For Make-A-Wish month, 23 kids with critical illnesses were treated to a four-day experience shaped around soccer. The children and their families got to play ball with Inter Miami CF, another Royal Caribbean partner, and meet club captain Lionel Messi. The cruise line also sent the group on vacation. The collective set sail on Icon of the Seas for a day — and this is even before they got to meet their favorite field-side legends! This is just one of many instances where the Royal Caribbean Make-A-Wish partnership has already made dreams come true.

With a habit of giving back, Royal Caribbean encourages guests to do the same.

Guests Can Support Make-a-wish While Cruising With Royal Caribbean

Nothing beats the joy of giving back. Thanks to the partnership with Make-A-Wish, Royal Caribbean makes it easy and impactful.

Aptly named the Make-A-Wish Impact Survey, a 2022 survey shows that wish-fulfillment has some major medical results in its pocket. Parents, the kids who went through the program and their health care providers agree that the experience facilitated by Make-A-Wish helped their well-being, per the study. In fact, participants viewed the patient’s participation as a “necessary part” of their path to healing, granted better medical outcomes and boosted both the odds of survival and total recovery.

This joy-inducing and life-saving program is something that guests can contribute to and fuel. By filling out the Royal Caribbean cruise donation request form, socially conscious travelers can do more than ensure their own actions on vacation are ethical. This kind of large-scale change goes way beyond individual choices.

With gift amounts ranging from $5 to $100, donors can also choose their own amount. There’s also an option to add an additional $1.25 to your total to cover processing fees. Royal Caribbean and Make-A-Wish have thought of everything to ensure that each guest’s contribution goes the extra mile.

Here’s How To Support Make-a-wish After Your Cruise

Making a Make-A-Wish donation is not confined to your trip. In other words, you can support the Royal Caribbean’s Make-A-Wish partnership long after you get home from your beautiful vacation at sea.

If, after you cruise, you want to support Make-A-Wish, donate monthly through the Royal Caribbean cruise donation request form by selecting the box that says “Yes, automatically repeat this gift every month.” Take note of how much you contributed, since this will be how much you donate to Make-A-Wish each month.

There are also plenty of ways that guests can support and donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation outside of Royal Caribbean’s Make-A-Wish partnership. Here are a few options:

  • Donate Make-A-Wish resources like airline miles, cryptocurrency, stock, physical goods, legacy gifts and hotel points.
  • Refer a child who qualifies for the program.
  • Fundraise online or in person.
  • Join a Walk for Wishes or Trailblaze Challenge fundraising event.
  • Activate your audience via the Stream for the Wishes fundraising option.
  • Tell your network to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through a social media post or in conversation
  • Sign up to become a partner if you’re a business.
  • Volunteer at a Make-A-Wish event.
